Lydd Partnership

The Lydd Partnership is a membership organisation consisting of private, public, community and voluntary representatives.

The Partnership is responsible to its members for identifying, developing and delivering beneficial improvements to the Lydd Parish area, including Dungeness, Greatstone, Lydd town and Lydd-on-Sea. It works in partnership with other organisations from all sections of the community.

The membership comprises all interested parties, potential partners and the wider community from the parish of Lydd. The aim of the Partnership is that there should be a reasonable balance between private and voluntary sector members and those from the public and statutory bodies.

The founding members of the Partnership members are:

All Saints Church

Friends of Lydd Church
Lydd Museum
Youth Representative
Lydd Primary School
Greatstone Primary School
Lyddle Stars Children’s Centre
Kent County Council

Other bodies may apply or be invited to join the Partnership as appropriate.


The day-to-day management of the Partnership’s affairs is through an Executive Committee which consists of the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and no more than four ordinary members.
It is intended that the Executive Committee will be enhanced by key personnel as and when they are appointed.

The Partnership meets quarterly. The Chairman or Vice-Chairman of the Partnership may call additional meetings as appropriate.

All Partnership meetings are open to the public. Any confidential items of business will be recorded as such and not publicised outside the partnership. Non-confidential information should be shared with member organisations and the wider community through newsletters, press releases, network meetings and other media.

The Partnership will endeavour to be as open and accessible as possible and will ensure that a minimum of business is conducted in private.
